C-ROADS Pilot Austria
The Austrian pilot sites encompass selected areas of heavily frequented national motorway networks. This includes the Vienna city motorway A23 and the adjacent surrounding motorway sections. The site stretches from Vienna to Salzburg and includes the area near to Linz as well. Other parts of the motorway network near to the cities of Innsbruck in western and Graz in southern Austria are as well part of the three TEN-T road corridors.
"Living Lab" Graz (ALP.lab)
Founded in 2017, ALP.lab was Austria´s first proving ground for autonomous vehicles. With it´s - in the meantime - 400 km long proving ground it has become a hotspot for international partners to test their inventions and components which enable autonomous driving. ALP.lab won 2019 the Austrian state award "mobility" for establishing the proving ground with it´s cutting edge technology and outstanding work.

"Living Lab" Vienna (Eco-AT)
With the slogan "come and test in May and October in Vienna" this unique living lab concept was launched 2016 for all Eco-AT project partners to test new technologies based on common specifications. They also get full support from one party including C-ITS central station messages. The ECo-AT Living Lab is open to 3rd Parties in a way and to an extent unique in Europe.

"Living Lab" Linz (Digitrans)
The living lab Linz focus on autonomous freight transportation and automation of logistic traffic. Together with infrastrucutre and service providers innovative inventions can be tested and specifications validated.
